- Flight on time. Reached the new international airport on Saturday morning and got a shuttle bus straight to Malleswaram where a breakfast of hot idlis and wadas is waiting for me.
- Lunch at Koshy's. Really liked the relaxed atmosphere of this place. Was treated to beer and beef fry.
- Reached quiz venue on time. Found teammates who I had never met before. The entertainment quiz started slightly late. Found the questions to be quite tough, or rather came from domains I wasn't familiar with. Didn't qualify, yet sat through the entire finals.
- Met friends in another part of the city where I was taken to a pub called Purple Haze. Watch the India-Bangladesh cricket match on one TV set and rock music videos being played on the opposite TV set while tolerating the poor service of the pub.
- Travel back to friend's place where am put up amidst fear of being caught by patrolling cops - the bike we're travelling on has a non-Karnataka registration plate and the owner isn't carrying required documents. We reach home without any problems but learnt that Bangalore traffic cops can be bribed with Sodexho passes.
- Next morning, breakfast was planned at MTR. Due to delay, reached the place just before lunch time. After an agonizing long wait to get coupons and get seating place, am subjected to excess of delicious food being served continuously. The 2 masala dosas served are the best I've ever had. In attempts to sample everything that is served, successfully manage to overeat so much that I can't move after the meal.
- Reach Open Quiz venue late during the prelims. This time, Shamanth is in our team and we end up in the finals.
- Finals are long though exciting, but the questions not so interesting. We don't win the quiz though were given coupons to a local book store which I have no use of.
- Travel back to relatives' place in Malleswaram and charged a bomb by the auto-rickshaw.
- Next morning: Reach airport on time where am happy to have free Wi-Fi. Flight on time, make it to office in Pune in time.

Notes from Bengaluru
The last time I visited the city, it was for the Iron Maiden show. This time, I travelled again to Bangalore (now Bengaluru) to attend KQA's 25th Anniversary celebration quizzes.

Isn't Purple Haze the 'Gay' bar in Bangalore?
@Harish: Nope! What made you think so? The place is a haven for mostly rock music lovers. Of course, most of them happen to be male, but as compared to the places here, there was a substantial number of women too.
Nice travelogue, MTR reminds me of B'lore visit.
