PIFF Day Six & Seven

No, I didn't see Black Friday. Neither Amu, not Page 3. It was the Croatian film The Horseman, which evoked a sense of deja vu: QSQT, Romeo-Juliet, the like. Spoiler: they all die. Regretted that I saw it (even the explicit scenes don't make it watchable).

And the verdict: PIFF '05 was badly organised. Not only were screenings changed with poor notification, on the final day, there was much confusion about the award-winning film. The organisers'/volunteers' table looke vacant when they were required the most: the last day. We finally settled own to watch the finale (disregarding Mr. Ghai's sham show Kisna), the award-winning South African film Yesterday. Its SA's entry to the Oscars, and the mega-hype-bandwagon has immediately declared it as the rival of our own Shwaas. Patience, people.
